Dr. Ermis earned her undergraduate degree in Medical Humanities from Baylor University, where she completed minors in Biology and Chemistry. While at Baylor, she was actively involved on campus as a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and the Baylor Club Tennis Team, combining her academic pursuits with leadership and athletics.

She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude. During her clinical training, Dr. Ermis was recognized for excellence in patient care and earned multiple honors throughout her rotations. Her experience includes pediatric eye care, dry eye management, specialty contact lens fittings, and surgical co-management. She completed rotations in the University’s Dry Eye Clinic and Ambulatory Surgical Center, along with externships in both community and private practice settings.

Dr. Ermis maintains involvement with national optometric organizations and has represented her training program at professional conferences across the country. She has a particular passion for working with children and fitting specialty contact lenses, helping patients achieve clear and comfortable vision when traditional options fall short.

Outside of the office, Dr. Ermis enjoys competing in USTA tennis leagues throughout the greater Houston area and exploring new sushi places with her friends and family!

Along with being a Houston native, Dr. Nguyen attended the University of Houston and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Nguyen then received his Doctorate of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry.​​​​​​​

Dr. Nguyen gained extensive experience during his internships at Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth, Texas, and Casa de Amigos Health Center in Houston, Texas, where he routinely diagnosed and treated a range of ocular conditions, including dry eye disease, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. His clinical training at the University of Houston College of Optometry’s Ambulatory Surgery Center further enhanced his skills as he co-managed pre- and post-operative care for retina, cataract, and LASIK patients. This diverse background equips Dr. Nguyen with the expertise to provide comprehensive dry eye care.

Dr. Nguyen is deeply passionate about the optometric profession and serves as Houston’s co-leader of Young ODs of America. He is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and Harris County Optometric Society. To stay at the forefront of optometry, Dr. Nguyen regularly attends major conferences such as Vision Expo, Vision Source Exchange, and the American Optometric Association’s Optometry’s Meeting. His commitment to continuous education ensures that he utilizes the most advanced techniques and highest standards of care in his full-scope optometric practice.

In 2021, Dr. Nguyen adopted a blind Shih Tzu, finding the experience of caring for his furry companion deeply rewarding. This included the daily task of administering eye drops multiple times a day to ensure his dog's comfort. He is also passionate about giving back, regularly volunteering on mission trips to the Guerrero Clinic in Chihuahua, Mexico, to provide essential eye care to underserved communities. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Nguyen stays active through cycling, working out, and home improvement projects. He enjoys relaxing with Reddit memes and Totino’s Pizza Rolls as his guilty pleasure.
